As we witness the complete breakdown of our social, political, and economic framework, we the people of Sri Lanka are called to question this situation. We know that the main reason for this situation is corruption-riddled party politics that have eroded every level of government and all levels of public office. If things are to be corrected, then it requires a paradigm shift in our thinking. A complete overhaul of the system is essential. Constitutional reform which recognizes the rule of law, the independence of the judiciary, and separation of powers as well as the public trust doctrine are all important elements in this change. We believe in governance that encompasses the highest level of honesty, integrity, trust, transparency, and accountability. We believe that all those in public office are vested with the duty to respect, secure, and advance our fundamental rights.
